Note for QuarkXPress Users:
############################
The “Drag and Place” feature works with both QuarkXPress version 3.11 and 3.2. If you have version 3.11, you need to install our XTension file into your QuarkXPress folder. Just drag the “Kudo XT 1.0.3” file into your QuarkXPress folder and restart Quark.
Quark version 3.2 requires no special XTension—it just works!

Note for Aldus PageMaker Users:
############################
The “Drag and Place” feature works with PageMaker version 4.2 and 5.0 as well.

General Notes:

• Self-contained catalogs do not retain the high-speed “Turbo Index.”
To work around this problem:
1. Unlock the self-contained catalog using Finder’s “Get Info.”
2. Double-click the self-contained catalog. Kudo will rebuild the Turbo Index automatically as it the catalog is opened.
3. Quit Kudo.
4. Lock the self-contained catalog using Finder's “Get Info.”
• Self-contained catalogs have the same memory setting as Kudo Image Browser when they are created. To prevent users of your self-contained catalogs from experiencing out of memory conditions, set the memory allocation of the self-contained catalog to 2048K in the Finder’s Get Info window before distribution.
• No error message is displayed when Kudo runs out of disk space when creating a catalog on a floppy disk.
• Dragging and Placing an image of a file format that PageMaker or Quark does not recognize will cause unexpected results. For example: dragging and placing a gif image into PageMaker results in text (not an image, as you would expect) being imported into the PageMaker document. This is a PageMaker or Quark weakness.
• If you have two monitors and the main monitor has fewer colors than the second, some “trails” will be evident while dragging thumbnails on the second monitor.
